Your academic advising team is excited to welcome you to UC Davis and are looking forward to helping you make the most of your college experience! Below is an overview of the information and steps you'll need to prepare for your first quarter.
Complete Aggie 101 (Required)
All incoming freshmen and transfer students must complete Aggie 101. Refer to your MyAdmissions checklist and follow the instructions on how to complete this online program designed to introduce you to key resources and provide you with information needed to be successful at UC Davis.
Complete Aggie Advising Canvas Program (Required)
Learn how to select courses, build and balance your schedule, and start satisfying the requirements you’ll need to graduate. You’ll find resources and tips to help you navigate the university, explore your interests, and ensure your first quarter is a success. Login to Canvas to begin First Year Aggie Advising
Attend an Aggie Advising Webinar (Optional)
Orientation will be hosting a series of webinars through the summer for newly admitted students. Topics will include preparing for fall classes, registration basics, and campus resources. Watch your email for more information. Learn more.
Connect with an Advisor (Optional)
If you've completed the Aggie Advising Canvas program and still have questions about your first quarter schedule or your academic record, you can connect with an academic advisor for help. Note: Completion of the Aggie Advising Canvas program may be required to access the appointment system. Additionally, to ensure availability for all incoming students, advising appointments may be limited to one appointment per student, so please come prepared.
Register for Courses (Required)
After you’ve planned out your first quarter, you should have everything you need to register for classes. All students will register for courses using Schedule Builder during their assigned pass time. Be sure to check Schedule Builder for your assigned registration day and time.
Attend Aggie Orientation (Required)
Get excited about being an Aggie! Read more about Aggie Orientation here. This 2 1/2-day program is your opportunity to start building community networks of support, find resources, and begin your life on campus.
