Registration Support

During Pass 1 registration, advisors will be available to answer general advising questions.

Please note that advisors will not be able to assist with non-advising related questions, such as Housing, Financial Aid, Orientation, etc. or provide technical assistance. If you encounter technical issues, please contact IT support at ithelp@ucdavis.edu.

If you have specific advising questions prior to registration, please contact the advisor you met with for Aggie Advising. If you have not yet met with an advisor, please schedule your Aggie Advising appointment now.

For specific registration dates and information visit The Office of the University Registrar website, or download a visual "calendar" PDF of the schedule. Check your assigned Pass 1 registration on Schedule Builder

Registration Periods

Students register for classes during Pass One Registration, Pass Two Registration, and Open Registration registration periods. Check Schedule Builder for your assigned date and time.

Pass One Registration

Incoming students are automatically assigned to a three day, Monday–Wednesday, registration period to schedule their fall quarter classes. Students are scheduled based upon their college. The Pass One Registration process includes a scheduled four-hour appointment window followed by additional open registration windows.

Scheduled Pass One — Four Hour Window

  • Monday: Either 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. or 1 p.m. to 5 p.m.

Open Pass One — Three More Opportunities

  • Monday: 5 p.m. to midnight (same night as your Scheduled Pass One)
  • Tuesday: 6 a.m. to midnight
  • Wednesday: 6 a.m. to midnight

Open Registration - All New Students

After Pass One Registration has concluded, an Open Registration period is available to new students to continue scheduling and modifying their courses.

Pass Two Registration

After Open Registration has concluded, the Pass Two Registration period opens for all students to continue scheduling and modifying their courses.

Open Registration - All Students

After Pass Two has concluded, a final Open Registration period is available to all students to finish scheduling and modifying their courses.

For specific registration dates and information visit The Office of the University Registrar website, or download a visual calendar PDF of the schedule.

Students with an earlier registration time are not advantaged in course registration over students with a later registration time. The university works with the academic colleges who reserve open spaces in courses and release a portion of open seats during each registration window to help create equality in course registration.
