Bio

Tracy currently serves as Director of Advising and Policy in the College of Letters and Science's Undergraduate Education and Advising office. Her undergraduate work was also in the College of Letters and Science, where she earned an A.B. in Rhetoric & Communication. After graduation and working for Assemblyman Ted Lempert, she was a project manager for both the governmental affairs branch of Morrison Knudsen Corporation in Sacramento and then for KPMG Peat Marwick in San Francisco. She returned to Davis after eight years of project management to pursue an advanced degree and began her advising career while working toward the completion of a B.S. in Community and Regional Development and then an M.S. in Community Development in 2006.

Tracy has 23+ years in advising, and still finds most fulfilling the opportunity to improve services to students. In particular, she strives to improve the Academic Intervention Program, which helps students persist toward the completion of their degree and the attainment of their goals. She is hopeful that the faculty, staff and students employed at UC Davis continue to work together to create a community that is committed to inclusivity, a safety net of resources, and an academic environment that fosters student success.
