Danielle Blacet-Hyden brings her experience as a legislative and regulatory advocate to the UC Davis Government and Public Policy Alumni Group. She is currently the deputy executive director with the California Municipal Utilities Association and has nearly 20 years of experience working with California farmers and public water agencies. In her role at CMUA, she oversees the implementation of the association’s strategic plan and all water-related issues in both the legislative and regulatory arenas.
Prior to CMUA, Ms. Blacet-Hyden worked for the Association of California Water Agencies for nearly 11 years, focusing on regulatory issues including water quality, groundwater and statewide water planning. In her time with Western Growers Association, she advocated for farmers throughout California and served as the administrator for the association’s school garden program.
Ms. Blacet-Hyden also has worked in political consulting and public affairs for both statewide and national clients. She received an undergraduate degree in international relations and political science from UC Davis and a certificate of achievement in computer information science from American River College.
