STaR Recommended Schedule for Bachelor's of Arts

Placements for your Major

  • Language (Strongly Recommended) -- All students planning to pursue a Bachelor of Arts major will be required to meet the College of Letters and Science Foreign Language requirement.
  • Math (Recommended) -- Some majors in the social sciences will require calculus, so it's recommended that students take the Math Readiness Assessment. It is also recommended for students considering pre-health preparation.
  • Chemistry (Recommended) -- If you are interested in pre-health preparation or in the sciences, it's recommended you take the Chemistry placement.
  • Computer Science (Not Required) -- There are no Bachelor of Arts majors in Letters and Science that require ECS 36A.
