Bio

Rashonne currently serves as the Coordinator of Student Success and Mentorship in the College of Letters and Science’s Undergraduate Education and Advising Office. Her past experience includes working in both K-12 education and higher education. After obtaining her Bachelors Degree from Grand Canyon University, in English, she went on to teach high school English and Dual Enrollment courses at various charter schools in Manteca, and Stockton, California. She then went on to work as an Associate Professor of Animal Science at San Joaquin Delta College, teaching Animal Science and Animal Production courses, as well as coaching their Livestock show team. Continuing her work in student success, she then worked at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, where she was a College Success Advisor in the College of Agricultural Sciences and Natural Resources, where she developed and oversaw the Peer Mentoring program, was a lecturer in the department, and was the interim Coordinator for the College’s Living Learning Community. After working at The University of Tennessee, she then worked at California State University, Stanislaus as an Academic Advisor for the Educational Opportunity Program (EOP) and was the Coordinator of the Summer Bridge Program.

Rashonne has a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from Grand Canyon University, and a Doctorate in Educational Leadership, with an emphasis in Higher Education from Fresno State University.

Beginning her journey at UC Davis, Rashonne hopes to continue to empower students to achieve their goals, and to become the drivers of their educational journeys.
