Patricia Rucker is a legislative advocate and policy expert with a strong background in teaching, professional development, and legislative advocacy. She has been a legislative advocate for the California Teachers Association (CTA) since 1997, leading training programs and shaping statewide education policies.

She serves as an appointed member of the California State Board of Education and worked as a teacher and mentor in the Del Paso Heights School District (now Twin Rivers USD). She has also lectured at CSU Sacramento and UC Davis School of Medicine and collaborated with national organizations on equity in education.

Patricia holds a Master of Arts in Education from CSU Sacramento and a Bachelor of Arts in English from UC Davis, along with multiple teaching credentials. She joined the Dean’s Advisory Council in 2023.
