Latin America remains a paradoxical region worthy of study: while the region is home to significant human rights and environmental advancements, it is hindered by corruption and high levels of poverty. The minor in Latin American and Hemispheric Studies offers students the opportunity to explore connections throughout the Western Hemisphere from an array of perspectives across multiple academic fields. The program prepares students to learn about the culture and current challenges of Latin America, preparing them for careers in government, international organizations, and post-graduate academic work.
