Bio

Jonathan Clay brings a long history of working in the California political environment to the UC Davis Government and Public Policy Alumni Group. He has extensive experience in the areas of water, land use planning, local government issues, and environmental regulation. Prior to forming JGC Government Relations, Mr. Clay was the managing partner of Carpi & Clay, a government relations firm with offices in Sacramento and Washington, D.C. Prior to that, Mr. Clay was appointed by Governor Pete Wilson as an advisor and consultant to Robert C. Frazee at the California Integrated Waste Management Board. He holds an undergraduate degree in political science – public service from UC Davis and a Master of Business Administration from San Diego State University. Mr. Clay also contributes his time to UC Davis by serving on the Government and Public Policy Alumni Group.
