Distinguished Professor Wang Honored With Humboldt Research Award

Jane Ling WangJane-Ling Wang, distinguished professor of statistics, has received a Humboldt Research Award in recognition of her lifetime achievements in statistics.

The award honors researchers whose “fundamental discoveries, new theories or insights have had a significant impact on their own discipline and who are expected to continue producing cutting-edge achievements in the future.”

Given annually by the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation, award winners receive a 60,000 euro cash prize and a travel stipend to spend up to one year in Germany collaborating with colleagues on a long-term research project.
