Centering discussions on climate change impacts and solutions
Concerned that recent climate reports might not receive the public attention they deserved, scientists started using the #ClimateFriday hashtag on Twitter to highlight findings of the reports.
They've also encouraged people to continue using social media to keep climate science and solutions front and center. "If we are going to shift the conversation about climate change towards solutions, we need to highlight these stories and discussions much more often," said a blog written by Tessa M. Hill (University of California Davis), Karina J. Nielsen (San Francisco State University), Emily Therese Cloyd (American Association for the Advancement of Science), and Emily Knight (Lenfest Ocean Program).
