Veronika Hubeny Recognized For Research Excellence

Veronika Hubeny, professor of physics, was elected a Fellow of the International Society for General Relativity and Gravitation (ISGRG). The society elects fellows from among leading scientists in its membership. Hubeny joins a select group that includes Kip Thorne and Yvonne Choquet-Bruhat. The primary criterion for election is excellence in research. 

Hubeny is a theoretical physicist and a founding member of the UC Davis Center for Quantum Mathematics and Physics (QMAP). Her research interests lie mainly in the areas of string theory and quantum gravity. Want to know more? Watch this video of Hubeny explaining her work for a general audience.
