Chair, Dean's Advisory Council
Brian Burwell brings extensive management consulting experience to the College of Letters & Science Dean’s Advisory Council, having worked with some of the world's leading corporations and nonprofit organizations on strategy, execution, organization and leadership. After over three decades as a partner at Marakon, a premier private sector management consulting firm, Mr. Burwell joined The Bridgespan Group to follow his passion and commitment to make a difference on social issues working with leading nonprofit organizations, foundations and philanthropists.
Mr. Burwell received a Bachelor of Arts in economics from UC Davis, followed by a Master of Business Administration from Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Mr. Burwell joined the Dean’s Advisory Council in 2015 and became its chair in 2018.
