The Linguistics Society of America recently selected Robert Bayley from the UC Davis College of Letters and Science as the recipient of its 2023 Mentoring Award for his commitment to students before, during and long after their studies with him.
Research by UC Davis linguistics professor Robert Bayley and colleagues on Black American Sign Language is now a Linguistics Society of America award winner. Bayley shares the society’s 2022 Linguistics, Language and the Public Award.
Close to 400 noted and emerging linguists from around the world will converge at UC Davis on June 24 for a month of intensive instruction, professional development and informal networking that will help shape the future of their field.
