For his contributions to the development and application of atomistic and first principle simulations to understand the physical properties of materials and nanostructures, Professor of Chemistry Davide Donadio was recently named a fellow of the American Physical Society.

The College of Letters and Science Dean’s Office is pleased to announce the awardees for both the new 2020 Dean's Graduate Summer Fellowship program and the Margrit Mondavi Graduate Fellowship program. The awards reaffirm the College’s commitment to graduate student scholarship and research, and ensure that students facing financial hardship may continue to excel academically.
This year's graduate fellows in the College of Letters and Science come from a wide range of majors and are using the fellowships to explore diverse topics. Graduate fellowships support students in humanities, arts, and cultural studies programs to engage in research or creative projects over the summer.
The trustees of The Andrew W. Mellon Foundation have approved a grant of $600,000 to the UC Davis Humanities Institute to continue support for the UC Davis College of Letters and Science public scholars program for the next three years.
