The Ambassadors of Mathematical & Physical Sciences (AMPS) are a group of exceptional student leaders within the Mathematical & Physical Sciences who are nominated by their department to serve as student representatives for their majors and for the College. AMPS is comprised of 2 or more undergraduate students from each of our six departments: Chemistry, Computer Science, Earth & Planetary Science, Mathematics, Physics, and Statistics. They assist the MPS Advising & Retention Resources (MARRs) office with several outreach and community building initiatives through their student engagement and event support. In addition to their outreach, AMPS students also plan and execute various departmental projects such as the Annual Chemistry Career Fair and serve as a student advisory board for MARRs events and projects. AMPS students serve a minimum of one academic year term. Starting Fall 2016, in addition to the departmental nomination process, applications for prospective AMPS students will be open to any MPS undergraduate student in good academic standing.
